Learning by Reading

Will Rogers once said, “A person only learns in two ways; one is by reading, the other is association with smarter people.”  While I would add in ‘learning by our own experience,’ I have found that, in a lot of ways, reading is the best way.  It is accessible, and the people bringing you the information are often experts–they have digested the information and present it to you in a very readable, applicable, distilled format.  Several have absolutely changed the way I see and approach life.

Here are a collection of some of the best distilled thoughts that I have gleaned from some of the best books I have read.  I officially recommend that you read the books yourself, but I have tried to collect the best of the best quotes to read and apply insofar as you have time.  Enjoy!
Books with quotes:
How to Win Friends and Influence People, Dale Carnegie
Mere Christianity, C.S. Lewis
Misc Books (Benjamin Franklin’s Autobiography)
